Did I understand right that Twin Galaxies refused to acknowledge the Italian guy's record for years, saying there was no proof, but as soon as their own guy topped the record, they recognised it, even saying it was well documented?

Or did I misunderstand/miss something?

When you watch it you don't realize when that happened it was a new group from denver that owned tg, Walter had nothing to do with recognizing that score it was set up to make him look better.
