Its possible that any interaction between the paladins and the actors might have been edited out. I was thinking about this almost from the first episode. I felt the actors were in a tough spot, because their parts were sort of scripted; they had to steer the paladins in a specific direction, but they couldn't control exactly what the paladins said or did. They might have to do some ad-libbing, and that could be tough.
Like in this last episode, one of the paladins asked Krio how many of them were still working on getting the first door open. The actor had to think on his feet, I suppose. Was he really allowed to answer? How much could he influence the paladins, if at all? That's a fine line to walk. Same thing with Ansgar two episodes ago. I think it was Bonnie who totally botched almost every aspect of her equestrian challenge. Ansgar said something along the lines of, "You're going to get yourself killed out there." I think she actually replied, "I'll try my best." That didn't fit! The actor could have played off that and ripped her some more. I guess he erred on the side of caution.
With the example you give of the Vizier, how would he have responded if the paladins accused him of poisoning the queen? Could he even have responded, or would that have been going off script too much? If he could respond, that could have led to some more drama.
Anyway, I admire the difficult position the actors are in. Overall, I think they're doing a great job of it, esp. Ansgar.
