The dragon egg challenge

I keep thinking about it. Wish I knew how heavy the eggs were. They seemed pretty hefty the way the paladins struggled with them.

Also I keep wondering if they were told exactly how to lift the egg, board by board, up that metal tunnel, and how heavy the tunnel was. It looked pretty heavy, but after seeing Patrick hoist that cage Bonnie was trapped in and toss it to the woods, I thought he might have done the dragon egg challenge a different way. Sure they weren't allowed to touch the eggs, but he might have considered trapping the egg in the tunnel at the bottom, racing up top, then grabbing the whole cage with the egg in it to get it up.

The eggs were magnificent to look at and I want one.

Yeah, the eggs looked great! I loved how they had to go down into the pit in that tube contraption. It seemed like a challenge that favored the physically stronger, though, but then that's part of being a hero, too.

Your strategy of trapping the egg and then just lifting the entire tube out of the ground is brilliant. It must be since I didn't think of it!

Patrick is an Ox of a human being and probably could have lifted the whole tube if he had thought of it. There is also the possibility that certain rules were established off camera which forbade this strategy.

Maybe they'll do a "Survivor" auction to recoup some of their losses. Just make sure you save one for me.

I don't think one could pick the cages up as they seemed held down. I don't think he would have been climbing it if it wasn't held down, somehow. Otherwise, he would have picked it up, bent the bars into a cute nest and hoisted it out of the hole. ;)

Not one of them thought to grab the net, roll the egg into it with the boards, and climb out on the outside of the tube dangling the egg behind them.

Before they started it was specifically stated that they had to get the egg out using only the items that where already in the pits.
