Disappointed in the addition of Wedge.
We know Wedge. He's a cool guy. But he enjoys far more familiarity in comparison to the other of Luke's two companions: the one who didn't survive the battle of Yavin, thus ending his adventures and greatly minimizing his availability in the Star Wars universe.
Had the original Star Wars premiered in full, with all of Biggs Darklighter's scenes on Tatooine uncut, his character (and his death) would've had far more impact. With his sweeping cape, his cool assembly of friends, his almost-as-cool mustache, and his gutsy decision to join the Rebel Alliance, he represented the kind of man Luke wanted to be (for those who haven't sought out those deleted scenes, Luke pestered him like a puppydog until Biggs told him he was joining the Rebels to fight the Empire). So when Biggs bit the dust, it jarred Luke into realizing he had to stop dreaming about becoming Biggs and do it for real.
Star Wars Rebels has the opportunity to show that guy's adventures. It takes place right in the era where Biggs is alive and active! Instead, we get Wedge. Why? We already know Wedge! I can't speak for everyone, but Biggs is the Rebel I want to see more of.
