Time Warp '90s finale

Funny how nearly every '90s-related sabotage (The Arsenio Hall Show, Double Dare, boy bands, the 'alternative' music movement, MC Hammer, etc.) actually originated in the late '80s. But let's face it: the '90s was a pretty undistinguished decade pop culture-wise (of course, so were the 2000's and, so far, the 2010's -- arguably even more so) I kinda wish they'd started with the '40s so they could've ended with the '80s. 

Culturally, very few decades follow an exact timeline. For me, the '50s ended in 1963; the '60s ended in 1972; and the '70s extended to about 1984.

No doubt the '60s as we know them didn't really start until JFK's assassination and the rise of Beatlemania (both of which happened at roughly the same time in late '63). But I'd say the '80s became the '80s in more like '82/'83. The '90s were so blah it's hard to determine when they truly started. 
