My thoughts on the film

I thought 'Dear Eleanor' was a decent film. Not great, but not terrible. There were things in the film that seemed very far-fetched at times, but I kind of went along with it. I really enjoy watching films about female friendships and the fact that 'Dear Eleanor' took place in the 60s was a bonus for me! The whole time watching it I was enamored by the atmosphere of the film. Everything from the production design, to the wardrobe, to the music was very authentic to the time period. I loved Max's (Isabelle Fuhrman) bedroom and her clothes so much! She looked adorable!! Sort of made me wish I were transported to the 60s just so I could dress like her :) Oh, and can we talk about the music?! What an awesome soundtrack!! It reminded me of music from 'The Notebook' as it featured some amazing songs in the vein of Billie Holiday. Overall, I give 'Dear Eleanor' a 7.5 out of 10.

I liked it---teen girl growing up in difficult times/circumstances is trying to find herself.

They even went for substance vs a sugary cute film.

I want to get this on DVD for keeps
