Was bad plain clothing and sloppy hair mandatory?

I don't know why they did this to two pretty girls... Why on Earth did they feel the need to make the wardrobes so hideous... the clothes could not have been more plain - and bra straps hanging out of the shirts... PLEASE! And what was with June's persistent sloppy bun? Beautiful hair and that is what they did to it. I just scratch my head. Even in the scene when she has the bad dream about her mother and is rushing to leave the house, she actually is trying to get her hair into that bun before she leaves... are you serious? I'm worried my Mom might be dead, but I can't leave the house until my hair looks like *beep*

Why do you not like everyday outfits? Girls aren't dolls, get over yourself. Most people, real people dress like that.
