You know it's a bad movie when... (spoilers)

...you figure out who the killer is 7 minutes in. As soon as June's boyfriend gave her that ring for no reason, I knew he was the killer. Murderers and thieves give their girlfriends/wives random jewellery all the time.

reply

It's funny because I never suspected him. I thought it was the FBI agent the entire time and then when Daniel called June to tell her not to trust him and that he attacked Annie, I was like, "Ok yeah I called that about 5 minutes in." I was actually surprised when it was the boyfriend!

reply

The FBI agent was kind of creepy and I thought that was too obvious for him to be the killer. The boyfriend, however, was a perfectly nice guy...and that was another reason why I knew it was him. Maybe I should be a cop. Or maybe I've just seen a LOT of movies.

What did you think when the boyfriend gave June the knife and told her to kill the FBI agent? I was like, "He didn't just give her the knife, did he?". Lol!

reply

Also he looked suuuuupper creepy.
I literally pointed at him and was like "he did it"
Plus the whole "You're mom is holding you back." Comment right before she gets offed.

reply

Agreed and then they did the who let's deflect eyes from him and make the detective look mighty suspicious. Lol

reply

I'm impressed.
You figured who the killer was, 23 minutes before there was even a murder.
You're a psychic!
I hope you are solving real murders with your powers; or better yet, stopping them before they happen.

reply

Ahh, the movie opens with the detective arriving at the first copycat killer's murder scene. So there has already been a murder. And, in a creepy clue/twist, the murderer is still on the scene. I figured who the killer was inside of 30 minutes so its not surprising others also did.

reply

30 minutes, yes. 23 minutes before it happened, no.

reply

So a bad script makes people psychic?
I've guessed plot twists from the trailers of movies. what does that make me MegaPsychic?

reply

If you can guess a murderer before there is a murder, yes, that makes you psychic.
In fact, it's the perfect example of the definition of psychic.

No matter how bad a script is, a murderer is not a murderer until someone is murdered, and cannot be identified as a murderer until he murders someone.

It's simple math.
The idea that this idiot says he identified the murderer before there was a murder is retarded.

reply

It's a movie. So you can realistically say he predicted *beep* natural plot progression since this isn't actually real life and is in fact a story that has some semblance of a natural progression that it is going to take.
So you could predict that someone is going to be murdered and can predict who did it within the first little bit of that narrative because you have seen similar plot progressions in other movies.
That does not make anyone an idiot or a psychic. It just makes a plot predictable.
