It says on Syfy's site that it was the season finale, not series. But it certainly felt like a wrap up at the end of tonight's episode. I also know that it's been struggling with ratings, which I think is responsible for the change in the time slot. Does anyone know if there will be a season 3?

I think it probably ended with that question up in the air. While it says season finale the ending tonight certainly could work as a series finale. I think the players didn't know either way, so they acted as if they wouldn't be coming back.
If it does come back please leave out Carl and Miguel. If they feel a need to have male players keep Jesse and find some other guys.

Hopefully it is. Apparently the show is getting banned from the cons they shot at. Not only were the competitions rigged but caused major problems for the other con goers and coordinators. If they keep this on, they're going to end up alienating the whole cosplay community. I've never heard a show this hated and such a *beep* backstage.

The show was filmed and put out in a fairly weird fashion. SYFY labeled this as a season 1.5 making it a continuation of the first season. They did bring in other cosplayers, kept some and didn't bring back others they also revamped the format of the episodes and they also reintroduced the cosplayers who were previously on the show.
When they have talked about doing what they call the actual season 2 there's an implication most if not all of the current cast would not be returning.
