Flatliners & Event Horizon ripoff!!!
The writers of this film shouldn't call themselves writers, this was one of the least original films I've seen.

shareFlatliners is what came to mind for me too. The difference is Flatliners was a good movie and this is crap.
Don't play leapfrog with a Unicorn.
Hollowman came to mind for me, with the "scientists are rockstars" vibe, "we're so cool and cucumbery, cos we is science.. my shizzles".
Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived. -Isaac Asimov
I wouldn't say it rips off Flatliners at all. Flatliners was about experiencing death, seeing what was in the afterlife, and bringing them back using REAL medical techniques. The side effect was hallucinations. In Lazarus Effect, the idea is specifically bringing the dead back to life using experimental techniques. They had no interest in intentionally killing themselves to see what was in the afterlife.
If anything, there are more similarities to Pet Cemetery and Re-Animator.
Reviving dead with the return ticket being evi check out dr blood.
shareIt certainly borrows from a lot of films. Original concepts are rare these days.
