More sci-fi than horror. There was no Hell or demons etc

This was basically another version of the Lucy movie, about what could happen when a person can use 100% of their brain at once. The visions of hell , were not really of hell, it was Olivia:s memory of the apartment block fire, which she was always thinking about in her subconsious and had issues dealing with. The serum that bought her back enhanced her psychic abilities (100% of her brain now active etc) and so she was able to project that memory into the mind of the new girl. Thats all.

The eyes turning black and her walking around like a monster etc, didn't mean she was possessed, its just this movie:s way of showing how powerful she had become. She had hyper-evolved. The dog was also going through a similar process, but at the end of the day, it was just a dog. How far could it go evolution wise?

My thoughts exactly

Agreed. Overall, I thought it was pretty good when you look at it from a pure sci-fi/horror outlook.

I prefered this to Lucy. That movie had a good idea but was utter crap.
This one doesn't come off as anything special, and that made it good. I don't understand why it's listed as a horror film, it should be called a thriller at the most.

The dog was also going through a similar process, but at the end of the day, it was just a dog. How far could it go evolution wise?

Well, monkeys became humans. So the dog could evolve into something really interesting over time.

I would have prefered an ending where Zoe gets stabbed by the needle but still has time till kill the ginger.
As police later enter the lab, Rocky the dog is the only survivour (I know Zoe killed him but since it was off screen I could have been a fun twist if he wasn't dead at all.) Rocky sits all innocent in his cage, some policeman take te cage out to the car while they investigate the lab and as he comes out, the cage is open and the door of the police car is too... Rocky has escaped from the lab, and no one knows what he is capable of because no one is left alive to tell. 🐶 The end, better ending.

I would have taken that ending over the one we got.

They really should have delved deeper into the Hell and demon aspects.
