For the 'Christian' folks...

I can't believe that this is my first imdb post, but let's put it out there. Can something we do before our "age of responsibility" really be used against us in that proverbial paradise after life? Please tell me again that there is a specific age. You shan't be the first.

You're born a sinner, so I'd imagine lighting your family on fire is at least 10x more a sin than original sin. So yeah, you're doomed unless you repent and let the lord into your heart.

Sorry but a one day old baby is not a sinner and even a slight amount of logic would make this glaringly obvious. No fair deity would consider a small child incapable of discerning right and wrong would say so either.

The Bible defies logic, sweety. I suggest you read up before you're doomed to hell.

I would suggest that you shouldn't judge people and condescend. Those aren't very Christian-like qualities are they? Maybe YOU are the one who should read your book again. I thought the whole "god can only judge" thing was pretty clear, but then again, you could just be another one of those cherry pickers.

benamae forget the afterlife as in this real world we need people held more accountable for their criminal actions at early ages. I am not saying that the character in this film was at an age where she should have been held responsible for setting that fire though.

It's called the age of reason and I believe it is age seven. We are born with original sin(which Baptism removes), but cannot commit sin until that age. Zoe looks to be younger, so she wouldn't go to hell for the fire. She would more likely go to hell for living, and sleeping, with a man she is not married to.

I thought she went to hell for playing God, not because of the fire because she was too young to know better and was truly remorseful. She was experimenting with necromancy, that's why she went to hell.
