What is the diffence between this movie and 'De Heineken Ontvoering'

Does anybody know what the diffences are between this movie and the dutch film 'De Heineken ontvoering (2011)'?

And I can see the obvious diffences, like actors and budget, but i wonder if there will be big changes to the story.
I think it will be bigger and more 'Holywoodish' than the original film, but I wonder how they are going to do that.

I saw part of it being filmed today next to a picturesque canal in the centre of Amsterdam. The scene being filmed involved two men jumping out of a crashed van firing machine guns at the police and what seemed to be a glamourous lady making a getaway in a speedboat. Does that answer your question how it would be made more 'Holywoodish'? :-D

P.S. I'm not making this up either!

De Heineken Ontvoering is loosely based on the real story, it is not accurate at all. This new movie is based on the book written by Peter R. de Vries, which is a very accurate and detailed book.
So I think the new movie would give a more accurate and detailed depiction of the actual events. Of the whole story like it says in the description "the planning, execution, rousing aftermath and ultimate downfall of the kidnappers".
He has written this book with the help of Cor van Hout the brain behind the kidnapping.

I have many question marks by anything made up by 'Petertje'. He is a complete ass with total disregard for the truth and persons involved.
I have seen quite a few of his weekly shows. And particularly one which involved the father of a good friend of mine. It was utter rubbish.
Peter is full om himself and likes to sell stories to enrich himself and boost his ego.

True, he is an *beep* nowadays but the book De Ontvoering van Alfred Heineken was published in 1987. When he wasn't yet as full of himself yet.

Whol tells me that Cor van Hout didn't make up stuff to make him and his friends look better?

The scene on the canal with the boat is not part of the kidnapping. It could be a scene showing a robbery Holleeder did before the kidnapping. He/they did indeed use a speedboat to get away that time.

Thank you!!!

I thought I was having a case of deja vu -- I certainly remember watching a movie with Rutger Hauer playing kidnapped Heineken before which this 2015 movie couldn't have possibly been.

Same here I thought it was just a simple re-naming of the title until I saw the release date.
Can't see the point in this film, Hopkins must of been desperate, and worthington can't remember anything of worth he has been in, think I will pass and watch the original again
