The Dressmaker: The type of movie you'd expect if Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino had an Australian love child. #TIFF15

RT KateAurthur: It also had 142 endings, none good. I literally smh'd for its final 20 minutes. Yeesh. #TheDressmaker #TIFF15

#TheDressmaker is a mess. Tonally bizarre, playing marital rape for comedy and taking a child's death (plus all death) lightly. #TIFF15

The beautiful cast of @DressmakerMovie. An unexpectedly funny and visually stunning film.

HitFlix http://www.hitfix.com/awards-campaign/review-only-the-frocks-fit-for-kate-winslet-and-the-dressmaker "There have been some bad world premieres at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival, but Jocelyn Moorhouse’s “The Dressmaker” has them beat in one significant category: there are worse movies to watch on a plane.

I dont care about reviews.. im gonna go with people who watched it at TIFF and they loved it

A mixed reaction doesn't always say anything.
Take Holy smoke for example. One of the best films Winslet did.
Or The fountain with Rachel Weisz. The great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio or All Good Things with Kirsten Dunst. Films that got mixed reaction and still some of the best films ever made.

Liked it quite some.

Well another Australian film that I loved at the cinema was 'Australia' with Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman. It didn't do well in America at the box office and a lot of people didn't bother seeing it because of bad reviews, but a lot that managed to see it later on DVD loved it and regretted not seeing it on the big screen. All because they foolishly read reviews. Aussie films aren't Hollywood films just because they have actors that you know in them. I think it is worth seeing them on the big screen and taking in the ambiance and not try and make something out of it before you have seen it all. I never walk out on any film that I have paid for, but some reviewers that didn't like that did (after 10 minutes) - bloody ridiculous. Then they spend time trashing it on reviews and they missed practically two and three quarter hours of it! I've worn my blu-ray copy of that out because it was so good. All I am saying to anyone reading this is GIVE IT A GO if you like the actors playing in it because you are bound to find part of the movie that you love. Don't take any notice of other people's reviews. Only you know what you like!

They are trashing The Dressmaker just because is an Aussie movie, i don't trust to those critics anymore. I will watch this movie for sure.
