This was great, i'm looking for a movies similar to this please

Skyline was a terrible movie from start to finish... However for The Signal there are elements of The Matrix (a lot actually) Dark City (which Matrix copied in many different ways) and Pandorum... which i think is a far superior film to Signal. Its really good.

I found the film to be rather strange. However it did have concepts of the matrix.

Haven't seen Upstream Color or Skyline, but every other movie you responded with was on my mind when I clicked on the post. Great minds and all that haha

That was a good list and I'd suggest one more ... Sphere was pretty cool as well. I know a lot of people didn't think so but as a film that's along the lines of this Signal it's right up with it's strangeness.

I dig small budget sci fi flicks like this. Especially ones that have a talented production and writing crew that can push the limits of what a small budget can do.

A movie that's similar in tone, but not in content, is Ex Machina. The atmosphere, cinematography and direction is kind of similar, although the plot is about artificial intelligence.

The Quiet Earth, australian dated movie, but nice

I thought this film was excellent and under-rated. It was highly clever & creative...especially the end. As far as films similar to it? Sci Fi films about Aliens...there's really nothing I can think of that's like this, that has a twist. Area 51 was a POV movie that was kinda similar. But the Signal was better.
