You HAVE to see this movie!

This has to be one of the greatest films on ...it's subject matter. I don't want to say what that is, because it would partially spoil the surprises and twists. The score is PERFECT, the voices are completely audible, and the sound during the intense scenes becomes almost grating, before releasing suddenly filling the viewer with the intensity that the characters are experiencing, and the relief of released tension. The special effects are haunting and long lasting.

I find it incredible that this is an independent film, it has the production quality of a Hollywood blockbuster, it is very believable, and the characters show a quality that is rarely duplicated in even the best that Hollywood has to offer, that quality is pure, unconditional love and a perfect example of unconditional love towards one who is suffering from a traumatic experience. The camerawork draws you in even more, and the plot keeps you guessing all the way to the final, satisfying scenes.

I have a long history of research, and practice of the material included within this film and it is the most accurate depiction of this world that I have ever seen. Indeed it has even inspired me to dust off my books and dive back into it, which is saying a LOT. I had been suffering from my utter loss of fear, as it shook my belief to it's core, and I had trouble seeing the magic in anything outside of delusion or hallucination, my world was completely mundane, not that I was unhappy about it, but I did miss the magic and this film has brought it back into my life in full force.

Several scenes gave me goosebumps. I don't get goosebumps from horror, I typically get laughs. I can not emphasize enough how incredible and wonderful and wholly accurate this film is, nor the success it has in sweeping the viewer along through all the mystery.

If you wonder why this movie has such a low rating, it's easy, the people rating it have absolutely no idea about the reality of the world depicted in this film, or were so beyond terrified they hated the experience it provided, or they did not finish watching it.

The soundtrack only contained a few audible songs, but the one that really stood out was one of the most poetic and beautiful songs I've ever had the pleasure of hearing, and even that song was perfectly selected for the unexpected direction the scene takes (you'll know the one I'm talking about, especially if you are watching with good subtitles).

This one is definitely a permanent fixture in my collection. I've not seen such a well researched, shot, scored, and acted film since As Above, So Below, and if you enjoyed that movie, you should DEFINITELY check this one out, as you will not be disappointed.

No kidding. I will say it looked nice, and the acting was good - and that's about it. Well-researched????? Into voodoo and magic iPhones?

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

reply

Awesome signature by the way!!

reply

Thanks! It's one of my favorite movies, and quoted in one of my other favorite movies (Shaun of the Dead)!

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

"What's the matter?"

"We may have to kill my step-dad"

Shaun Of The Dead is clearly one of the greats! It is full of Romero references. Like the pizza parlour being called Bub's!

Everything that happened can happen to the type of people who believe in that stuff. The technology was also very believable.

reply

Nothing. It was damn good, I wish I had been involved.

reply

They are so dumb...look at the OP's posting history.

What drugs were you on when you watched this film and typed this tome about it?

Do you have any more??

reply

Just really immersed in the film. They did an awesome job :)

reply

You've got to be kidding. How could anyone type a post this long about a movie as bad as this one. It was crap-ssA horrible, and a total waste of my effing time.

Either you were high as a kite when you watched it, or you're on the payroll.

reply

Or you simply didn't understand it :)

reply

Or you simply didn't understand it :)
Yeah. I understood it. I understood it was a really weak movie.

reply

You are either a sad, wanna-be film critic, a friend of the production, a crew member on the film, or a tad unstable.

reply

Misunderstanding something doesn't make it bad, or even sad. One day you're gonna wake up and go "Ohhhhhhh!" :P

reply

No, dear. You're giving yourself way too much credit. Regardless, your "review" is laughable.

reply

Wait, is there a huge film flub here? I'm going off memory, I watched it last nite. First, spoiler alert! I'm on my phone and don't know how to do the spoiler thing. So.... Spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler spoiler:

Ok, for those who have seen, the first step for the possession spell was to have your death under their gaze. Meaning, they had to witness it. Abby never saw her kill herself. Only the guy did (forgot his name already). Right? Or is there something else I'm forgetting? Had to watch the death, draw your own blood, trace the symbol, something else, and burn something from the witch.... Help please!

reply

I guess it could be explained because it was set your soul free under the gaze of the object you desire...

reply

Ok,thanks mom !!

Were you on medication when you watched this, because this movie sucked. It had to have been the most boring movie I've ever seen. Watch without the medication, and you'll understand what I mean.
