Was this edited or censored for its release in China?

Just wondering. The communist leaders in the movie were portrayed very negatively for their need to control everything. Since this was based on a true story, I imagine many of the events really did happen. How did the modern day censorship board in China see this? Was the movie released as it was in the rest of the world or were subtle or even major changes made to guarantee release?
