Saw the trailer when I went to see The Purge.

Didn't see that coming! I mean, The Purge is basically an R-rated horror film (very bloody), and here I am watching an MLP trailer prior to curtains up! Found myself wondering for a minute if I was in the right theater...

Was the trailer shown before the lights dimmed?

You know what? Come to think of it, I think it was. Is that supposed to mean something?

Dark lights is usually when the naughty stuff comes on.

When the lights go off the actual trailers attached to the film are shown. When the lights are still on you will generally see ads, commercials, and sometimes short trailers. Its most likely that that trailer was also shown in every other auditorium of whatever theater you went to.

That wouldn't surprise me, actually.

Yep. Pre-show advertisements come before the lights dim. You'll see some local ads and trailers for things like this movie.

I don't think that's true. I didn't saw the purge when it came out. So then i went to youtube to the nostalgic critic review of the purge and i told people that they saw the trailer but there answer was no. So do you live outside of the US or live in a different state ? Was the trailer only shown in different movie theaters or the trailer was hidden somewhere. When i saw the Man of Steel at that time it didn't showed the trailer. So any suggestions of my problem?
