I was reading the cast list:

Marlee Matlin ... Marlee Matlin

Shoshannah Stern ... Herself

Ryan Lane ... Himself

What is the difference between Marlee Matlin playing Marlee Matlin, and Shoshannah Stern playing herself / Ryan Lane playing himself?
