it's totally fake!!

watching the first episode right now. it's not even a GOOD fake. the acting on the 911 call is terrible. and the "archive footage" of the crime scene was shot in HD??

reply

Totally agree. Did you see the obvious outline of the Shnauzer "Pepper" on the roof? Totally wouldn't look like that. Looks like they took a picture outline of a dog and shopped it into the photo.

I feel that if they had just run their footage through some filters to make it clear that it's supposed to be a "period" piece the confusion over this series wouldn't be so prevalent. It's closer to the Twilight Zone or Blair Witch project than an actual documentary. I enjoy a lot of the stories, I just wish the visuals were executed more effectively.

Agreed, though the acting wasn't the worst I've seen lol!

I don't think it is bad. I saw the reviews where people said it was fake and I was like "No kidding." They talked about the second episode and how the Vietnam vets looked too young and the only think I thought was that it was a "re-enactment" of some sort as opposed to an actual interview.

I am not saying that any of this is true or fake. I think many of us have been around enough to know that just because things seem impossible does not mean that it cannot happen. No doubt this is just actors portraying an event that did not happen so that it cold talk about mysteries and phenomenon what has some basis in truth in very. very rare instances.

Just to illustrate what I am trying to say, and probably doing a bad job of it, Pandas were once thought to be a myth until they were found. Another thing that I did not know is that there was rumor of these monsters that were as tall as or taller than a tree, shaped like a camel and spotted like a Leopard and gave it a name, but we call them Giraffes. All I am saying is that the stories are not real, but the actual phenomenon is questionable and though not probable is possible. There you go.

This is a fantastic series. I wish that I'd "discovered" it on Netflix sooner. It reminds me of so many shows: X-Files, Unsolved Mysteries, Urban Legends, Twilight Zone,etc... Despite the fact that the acting is a little stilted and the production quality is low, it manages to be quite entertaining. My favorite, by far, is Twilight Wisdom.

I like the thought of little old people squirreled away in a basement using advanced mathematics to solve a nuclear crisis. I was immediately intrigued by the arrangements of the cards and dominoes. The theory of Twilight Wisdom where the mind of a dying person receives an influx of infinite knowledge is interesting. It beats the hell out of the image of a little old person rapidly losing their faculties and becoming decrepit.

"Knowledge is not power. The application of knowledge is power."

I have not read through this whole thread, but I love this show! But then again, I grew up trying to stay awake to see Twilight Zone and then, for the craziest episodes, Night Gallery wouldn't let me sleep!! 💀

I don't know if everyone bashing this show are to young to remember these others series, but to just yell "B.S." without investing in the suspension of disbelief, and pondering the "what if" factor is simply robbing themselves of an exercise in fringe thinking.

I hope we get a 2nd Season.
