Does anyone know who wrote/played the jazz music heavily featured in this episode?

Paul Englishby wrote the music. I don't know who played it.

I don't know either, but I wish some sound engineer had curbed the sound level on the closing of the episode. I don't love or hate jazz. I do hate sudden, appallingly loud NOISE like that ending.
