With Andrew Lee Potts character - Why did he try to get into trouble
with the patrol officers?
Presumably so he'd be sentenced to community service again and could carry on working for them... I did wonder if it was maybe just a prank for Charlie and Jessica's benefit. But, Helen had said something about having to find a way to keep him on... If they wanted to keep him on, why didn't they just take him on as an employee..? Mind you - the whole community service aspect hasn't worked since it was first mentioned... I mean, his seems to be a fairly 24/7 rôle and it's highly unlikely he's managing to fit in a paid job as well. So, what's he living on - benefits..? They should have thought that aspect of the show through rather better.

in it from other shows like Starlings and Primeval and I still want to give it more
of a chance.
It is getting better... It still annoys me that, when it's meant to be set in London, it's so very obviously filmed in Birmingham. But, the better it gets, the more I'm able to turn a blind eye to that.

I can be easily fooled. I do like the setting for their HQ. I want to
some day buy a narrowboat and travel the beautiful canals you have in the
UK.
Just don't expect them ALL to be beautiful..! There are indeed many miles of canal that wind through gorgeous countryside, areas of historical importance, etc. But, there are also stretches that pass through some of the most deprived and crime-ridden urban areas in Europe.
