episode 4 wonder who it reminds me of?

just watched the the dvd of this (on dvd in the Netherlands with option Dutch subtitles,bought it while on holiday in Belgium).

I must have missed episode 4 when it was on BBC because it amazed me,the villain was a former mp with a dodgy middle eastern charity and a pretty and intelligent wife,this was obviously not based an a real couple.
