Couldn't they have gotten a real linebacker to play Travis Mack?

or at least someone big enough to pass as a legitimate NFL LB prospect? Was particularly noticeable when he was standing next to a real NFL LB - Terrell Suggs.

reply

Suggs is unusually tall for his position. The guy they got is definitely a great athlete. Decent charisma for the manzell character he portrays.

Tsizzle is 6'3" - pretty close to average height for an NFL linebacker. Very few are under 6' (which the Travis Mack actor is). Add to that, at most he goes about 200, when the average for an NFL LB is probably right around 240.

He's not a bad actor, just way too small to be believable as an NFL linebacker. He is closer to high school LB size, or small college.

reply

Honestly I thought he was a safety this entire time...

reply

Safety would have been a little more believable. Wonder why the writers didn't think of it. Maybe they are typical Hollywood writers and don't know a damn thing about football.

London Fletcher: 5'10"

Stephen Tulloch: 5'11"

Navarro Bowman: 6'0"

Hell, Sam Mills (once known as the "Field Mouse") was listed as 5'9", but was actually 5'8".

All pretty kick ass middle linebackers, Mills and Fletcher had long careers. You're probably making too "big" of a deal out of this.

reply

exception, rather than the rule, but while they are certainly shorter than average, they all go 240-250 and are effing solid, so they are still appropriately sized for NFL linebackers. Not including Sam Mills, as he is from an older era where players were smaller and slower.

have you seen luke kuechly???? he plays linebacker for the panthers and is one of the best in the game , he is about the same size as the guy they got playing one on the show , i can't stand terrell suggs, he was always overrated to me , known more for his trash talk and being in ray lewis's shadow then anything else

reply

Luke Kuechly is close to the same size as Tsizzle (6'3" 240) - much bigger than the Travis Mack character.

reply

I didn't understand why Travis Mack needed to run a dash to showcase for an LB
