Dumbest show on HBO-this or Entourage??

I'm not sure which one gets my vote of the dumbest show on HBO - past/present- this one or Entourage. The latter had Ari and a couple strong female characters but the premise is still the same - a bunch of dumb jocks drving expensive cars, surrounded by bimbos whose sole purpose in life is to serve their male masters whim and fancy. And the jocks pretend to cut "deals" that make little sense unless it were done by 5 year olds. Perhaps the shows aims for people with that kind of mental development!

But I admit I keep coming back to it t see how much dumber it gets and it never lets me down! :)

Wasn't intended as a bait! :)

I wasn't calling this the "worst show ever on HBO" but the dumbest. I didn't care much for Hello Ladies but it had some good writing... And Entourage, which may be the closest in form and content to this one, had some moments primarily due to Ari's character. But this one is pure drivel and has nothing going for it! And that's a shame since it has some good actors (Andy Garcia for Chrissakes!!)

I dunno why people rag on this show so much.

It's not "The Sopranos," but it's reasonably entertaining, meaningless fun.

What? Hello Ladies was funny as bleep!
This show does make me feel like how I felt after watching Entourage, hoping it gets better but never does...wasting my time.
I would much rather watch a show about strippers cause that's all I ever remember from this show; the Hot extras...

This show is more brain numbingly stupid. Entourage at least had some credible behaviour, the smart women and Ari Gold and his faggy but competent secretary. The jokes were also more subdued. Ballers is just silly.

It is a truly idiotic show.

But the ROCK has charisma, and I have to admit I am curious how far it can go with its lunacy.

I tried HELLO LADIES but just found it to be unpleasant.

Worst show ever on HBO was that series where Delta Burke played a football that nobody wanted to kick or something. I think it was called 1st & Ten or some crap

I like it. I enjoyed entourage and I'm enjoying Ballers. Maybe it's not the deepest show but who cares! It is what it is, professional football players with absurd amounts of money and the big egos that go with it. Plus the Rock is great

Have you not seen Vice principals that airs the same night? Now that is a terrible show. I actually like Danny McBride, Eastbound and down was pretty funny at least, vice principals is not funny at all

Never liked Entourage.

But this show is more like ARliss.

The Rock is the only positive.

These types of people tend to be surrounded by women who will do anything for them. Would you rather the show be unrealistic in order to make you feel better about the world?

Vince was about as far from a jock as someone could possibly be. And the premise of Entourage was lifelong friends who will stay by you no matter what even if you lost everything.

If the shows make you so upset why do you watch? I really don't see the point.

It's not "The Godfather" but it's an enjoyable series for what it is. Compared to the amount of crap on TV, this is head and shoulders above most of them.

I enjoy it myself. A nice 30-minute diversion. Don't understand all the hate. If you don't like the show, don't watch! Simply as that.
