ELITE Acting, Silly Plot, Unsatisfying Ending

Shannon and Garfield brought their A game for sure. The plot was more or less ridiculous and the ending was far too open ended. But the acting was so well done it was still a good watch. I was thoroughly entertained but that ending really missed the mark.

Yeah I agree. I liked the acting. I watched some movie not too long ago with crap acting from the beginning. I almost stopped watching but the story was good and it ended good but the acting was either over the top or unbelievable. It's hard to find a good movie with good acting and good story on prime or netflix. Was also disappointed in the ending. Why can't a movie just have a completed ending? Seems like most of the time nowadays it's left up to the viewer and I hate that.

It was listed under "thrillers" where I watched it, so I was expecting more. I stopped taking it seriously when every home being foreclosed had a very sympathetic family living in it. And grandma's reaction to her son earning a living she didn't approve of was over the top. The end wasn't an end to the story. I don't know what the purpose was to close out like that.

i wouldn't say every eviction victim was sympathetic. There's the guy who pulls the gun on Nash for one thing. I'm sure there's also a couple who aggressively refuse to leave and the police officers he has on standby have to intervene.
And although off-screen, there's also whoever's house it is that none of Carver's crew want to go into because the tenants have deliberately and literally caused a stink
