Is Robbie Really (SPOILER)

Doubtful. Most "psychics" have talents for reading people and have great, seriously organized, memories. Incidental information can pass their way, and they'll store it away until an opportunity arises to use it, thus awing their audiences with something they "couldn't possibly have known." They may also be able to read facial tics (microexpressions) that give away deception in the speaker.

I'm not saying that there is no possibility that psychic communication exists, because the world is surrounded by electromagnetic waves - who's to say that what happens or is thought of halfway around the world can't hitch a ride on an EM wave and travel into the cerebral cortex of a person standing on the opposite side of the globe? Thoughts are nothing more than electrical currents whizzing thru our brains. I'm sure there are people who are supersensitive to these currents and develop the skills to interpret them.

I think Robbie is just super-sensitive to the energies of people around him due to his, ahem, unusual relationship with his mother. Ugh.

I think it was supposed to be real in a typical trippy LA way. A lot of the people there, especially in the entertainment industry, will believe anything. Robbie was apparently his grandfather in a previous life, who had an incestuous affair with his daughter (Robbie's mother) and who is carrying out another incestuous affair with his mother in his current life. Because of this he has memories of the past and psychic powers So, sure, it all makes sense to me -- NOT.
