Mike Tyson was horrible

Why was he cast in this? Why would anyone cast him in anything? So awful.

reply

Because more people in the world know him better than Donkey Yen, even in the East.

reply

D-Donkey Yen?

Bwahahaha...

I agree. I don't like Tyson or his acting. It really turned me off to the movie and made me not want to watch it. Still it was a very good movie. The good thing is that Mike Tyson had a rather small role in it. He wasn't on camera that much.

reply

I thought their fight was really good. Loved the punches to the elbows, classic

reply

His scenes were well done and worked around his acting limitations but having a non-actor celebrity like Tyson in general was very out of context with the movie. He was there just because they wanted a gimmick.

reply

Yea I wonder who thought Tyson would be a good match up in 2015 lol

When he starts charging him in his dress shoes I knew the fight would be pretty bad.

It was decent but kind of a let down, bad casting choice.

reply

I thought so too, I said it before and I will keep saying it. He ruined the movie. He should be eternally grateful he was hired, jeez. Why didn't they hire Michael J White, or Terry Crews even!?

reply

No, he didn't ruin the entire movie. His scenes were out of context and distracting but the other scenes almost made up for Tyson's appearance. The rival fighter and the elevator scene with the assassin were excellent.

reply

I totally disagree. When Mike closed in in a classic boxing move to initiate the fight it looked very real. Loved that whole scene

reply

I enjoyed the Tyson scenes.

reply

He did an ok job. But you give that guy some good lines and change his fighting choreography and he would have been a memorable Yip Man villain.
