Paid to see this in theaters and was very disappointed. Random fight scenes stitched together with no coherent story capped by a trite 'battle of equals' at the end

Ip Man had a good message and strong action scenes

Ip Man 2 was propaganda with a great villain and comic relief in the form of Twister

Ip Man 3 felt like a fanfic cobbled together from message boards

Beyond the first sequence with Bruce Lee this movie was an absolute rollecoaster of disappointment. Here I thought they couldn't make anything worse since Ip Man 2.
Truly a shame since the first movie was so good.
