Rude. I am an atheist, and what you just said is rude and in need of civility. Yes, FSU is messed up, but if someone wants to go there and teach whatever they believe in (in a non-hostile manner), then good for them; at least they are off the Internet and their tuchas and trying to do right as they feel it to be. Victim blaming is stupid. In real life, these boys are travelling far from home to serve. They could have been more wary, but that is just Monday morning quarterbacking, and it is victim blaming. If your child were abducted, would you tell them they were stupid for wanting to play alone and deserved what they got? I hope not. We should save the hatred for the people who hurt other people. There may always be victims available, but we can end predatory behaviour over time, with social pressure. Decide now that it is unacceptable to act as a predator, and bring that decision to life by looking out for your fellow man. No one needs a god(s) to be a moral person. Show by your actions that those who think atheists are animals are wrong. You don't sound clever or streetwise, you sound like a petty, bitter person. And I may not believe in a god, but I do believe you are capable of better than petty and bitter.
