Not awful but...

ever so boring. Some reviewers say the ending is scary, but I suppose it depends on what you find scary, there was growls, screams and some dragging around, also a very quick shot of a woman in her underwear...it was poor in comparison to the Blair Witch ending. Did they find Bigfoot? There is nothing in this film to indicate what is in the woods, it could have been the three bears and Goldilocks, or redneck hillbillies for all I know, 3/10

Uh, you must have seen a very low-res copy. I saw it in HD on i-tunes and in the tent she had tears streaming down her face.

Also, it's the slow build up in the tent where the tension lies. The sounds getting closer and closer, etc.

People who find films like PA and WC to be boring tend to be young guys raised on video games who are accustomed to instant gratification and long sequences with giant winged monsters.

It's not really scary per se to see a big powerful monster. I mean, is it? No. Cool or awesome? Maybe but not scary. I think lots of young guys who want to see big scary monsters aren't really into horror at all. They want to see a powerful thing that kills people and is invincible in order to feed the power fantasies that so many teenaged boys have.

I don't find that to be the case. I'm not asking for a monster to appear on the screen throughout the film. What I want from a horror films is interesting characters, good dialog, and a well paced film with a proper atmosphere. Willow Creek didn't really provide any of that.

I thought the relationship between the two was extremely well acted, the build although decent, at times it felt like they dragged it on just to long, the tent being one. I am all for build up but this way just a bit to much, the pay off was alright although I wish they dealt with a little more than the sounds and poking of the tent.

I enjoyed it, but it's one of those movies I don't think I could watch again.

And quite frankly I think that's a sign of a bad film. If you feel no desire to ever watch it again due to such a boring pace and lame payoff, what's the point?

ehhh... I think some films have more re-watch value to them than others.

I didn't say the pace was terrible or that the payoff was horrid, just that they weren't amazing.

I'm almost 40, douchebag, and I thought the movie was boring, predictable, and pointless so your theory that 'young whippersnappers just don't have the attention span for a good ol' fashion yarn for smart folks' is rendered moot. I've got no problem with movies building up suspense. I've got a problem with predictable crap that's a carbon copy of a movie that came out fifteen years ago.

Yeah I am 52, and female. The film was dire!

not good - recommend skipping it.

There were more than a few parts that felt ripped off from 'Blair Witch Project" to be sure.
