A Treasure Trove of Spoofing and a Labor of Love

Just brilliant! But I do think you have to be a certain age like me who watched countless "Million Dollar Movies" and "The Late Late Show". To me it seems like every line, camera angle, poses, gestures, sound effects and props were taken from many different B movies from the 40s to the 80s. I didn't see it mentioned, but Eric Jonrosh at the table is a takeoff on Orson Welles. "No wine before it's time" or something like that.

Something about this show has pulled me in. Many of the spoofs and references are unfortunately far before my time but I do have a general sense of cinema/television motifs to get the general gist.

I do wish they had decided to up the time frame/pop culture references though in order to not only reach more people but to be more engaging.

During the show, they should have shown Paul Masson wine commercials featuring Welles from the 70s. Or on the television in the background... Maybe some snippets of Welles on talk shows in the 70s too, on a background television.
