Reminds me of the low budget flicks we watched as kids. You know like in War of the Gargantuas,Rodan,Monster Zero etc.etc.
Just saw the remainder of episode 2. Witty touch using a mannequin as the new found wife.
Episode 1 was ok, but Ep 2 was laugh out loud funny.
I loved how he professed his respect for his Japanese captors, we called them Japs back then, and then slaughtered them without even pointing the weapon at them.

The mannequin reminded me of Lars and the Real Girl, which I also liked. Lars is similar, but not a parody and plays out a bit different.
