I'm delaying taking students on my one permitted field trip so I can take them to this film. Will it open this school year or next? Anyone know?

I think we should question about the teaser. =) It should be already released. Or at least in the nearest future.
As for trailer, I think we might expect it on April or May, something like that.

You're doing absolutely right! This adaptation is gonna rock. The preliminary date of release in US is November, 2015. And October in the UK.

The release dates, which is already known:

France 23 May 2015 (Cannes Film Festival)
UK October 2015
Italy November 2015
France 11 November 2015
Russia 12 November 2015
Sweden 25 December 2015

Now it's known that it get a nationwide release in US - wide release, speaking simply, so anyone will get a chance to see it.
