Probably not if that's what you want!

Not really man, one battle in the opener and that's it - really good film but certain not action packed.

Thanks all. yeah, i hear its a good film. Nice to know that i shouldnt be expecting anything along the lines of big battles then. This would have appealed to me lol but I understand this just isnt that sort of film. Disappointed Fassbender wont be bending any swords with his mind still :/ .

There is a battle at the beginning but the use of extreme slow-motion and cross-cutting make it more eerie and horrific than exhilarating. In fact, the emphasis is less on the battle than it is on Macbeth's reaction to the presence of the witches.

Other than that, there's a one-on-one fight at the end. The choreography isn't spectacular but the orange, mist-covered visuals are beautiful.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend watching this film if you're only interested in "big fight scenes" and "battles".

It's Shakespeare, man, not Braveheart!!!

Those who wish to see it for the action shouldn't be disappointed:

In the first battle scene (where for some reason Macbeth and his men appear to be fighting a team of teenagers), you see soldier flying in slow motion - behind a frozen Macbeth- with a knife in his hand like in a Zhang Ymou movie and, in the final fight, Macduff really reaches Freddy Krueger levels of indestructibility!

Oh me, oh my.
