Remember the show Legend?

Once a show on UPN when it was in it's first season called Legend. Starred Richard Dean Anderson and John DeLancie. Funny and dry-witted. Can't find copies ANYWHERE, but that's what Quickdraw reminds me of.

This site claims to have the DVD, I can't vouch for them or the quality of their DVD's though. Never ordered anything from them.

A legitimate official DVD release of Legend is coming soon. See TvShowsOnDvd.com for info.

There was also a show called Best of the West (1981) that I loved as a little kid. It starred Joel Higgins and Leonard Frye, and had a lot in common with this except it was scripted. I'm enjoying Quick Draw and am looking forward to season three.

Here's the link for the original shows: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081832/

Here's a bit of trivia - although the appearance of the town has evolved over the years, the same Paramount Ranch Western town site that was used in Quick Draw was also used for the opening and closing credits and the town establishing shots in the episodes of Best of the West. The majority of Best of the West was done on a studio soundstage, but a tiny handful of scenes with some of the actors were done at Paramount Ranch. I have in my Collection a script binder that had belonged to the late Sam Simon that contains several Best of the West scripts with his doodles on them. He had also had a hand in The Simpsons.
