why dont people get the ending? *Spoilers*

So yes although the English people probably sued surely the point of the whole "plan" was that they were trying to scare away and relocate the English people so they would probably just sell at a much lower price to locals... Is the film less about being psycho and more about not wanting to let new people into an area people believe to be their own land? The whole English/Scottish thing made this film for me and set it apart from being a typical boring slasher flick.

Because most people watching this aren't English/Scottish and didn't even understand a little bit of the motives in this film. It just seems like thrown together trash where the entire premise is some squatters wanted their house. The one or two tiny minuscule tidbits of a clue in this movie are definitely not enough.

Also, this ^, combined with the horrible horrible writing just made this movie seem like a pointless horror movie cliche junk fest. How they wrote these characters acting in this scenario.... Some of the worst I've ever seen. I rated this movie as a 1 star on Netflix and I generally like ALL movies that even are a little bit horror-ish. This was generally a bad one man and should just accept people won't get it or even really try to beyond its short run time.

I was angry at the end because of the sheer ludicrousness of the film. I then realised I didn't actually give a damn about it and that I was only angry about the waste of my life.

This was my first one star on Netflix. I'm contemplating asking for a one month refund.

It was like a live action scooby doo. People running in and out of rooms to avoid each other. Sneaking around one singular location and such. Then the ending is basically a 'I was gonna scare them into selling it to me cheap, and I would have gotten away with it too!' kind of motivation. Literally straight out of scooby doo.

There is no story here, so none of it makes any sense. If you liked anything about this film I can only imagine you are related to someone involved in the production.

Honestly, this was a good horror film--as in it actually tries to scare you, and wasn't just another dumb slasher flick. I don't get why y'all hated it so much---I like British films anyway, and I liked this all the way up to the end. And no, I'm not related to anyone in the production--never been to England, but would like to go someday---plus I'd never even heard of this film before a couple of months ago, anyway.
