This woman should have her own primetime network TV show.

She's every bit as talented as Lucy.
I would love to see her in a show or movie where she's teamed up with Zach Galifianakis.
Comedy brilliance.

I'm not fussed on her.

I wouldn't wish an end to her career or anything, but I just don't think I'd be able to watch her for more than a few minutes before her routine/voice annoys me

Her 'character' and material are best suited for cable. It's not likely she'd want to sanitize her approach to appeal to a mass audience. Dice Clay tried that and it was embarrassing for all concerned.

She already had her own TV show and it was funny and cutting-edge.

So funny and cutting edge that it was cancelled?

She had three seasons and her humour is definitely not for the masses. You have to be smart to understand it so don't worry. No further reply is necessary.

Ah I see, anyone who doesn't think the sun shines out her ass isn't intelligent enough to get the joke.

Next you'll be telling me that Inception was sooo deep and complex and anyone who thinks its just a simple action movie is too dumb to "get it" and ought to go watch Transformers.

You're a troll or a fool, I can't tell.

You're right, its just too deep and layered for me.

I better go watch transformers and/or listen to comedians who are funny (I watched We are Miracles, same old Silverman stuff she's been doing for 20 years, but she's getting old, couldn't even produce an actual hour of material, sad really, especially how she aped Louis CK in her best joke)

It's fine if you don't like Sarah S. but the argument that the show was cancelled equals it was bad means you're either really dumb or just being an ahole on purpose. There are too many shows to list that were great but got cancelled. Not everything is going to appease the dumb sheep like According to Jim which was idiotic garbage but ran for like 10 years.

I don't think I said her show was bad, I suggested that it wasn't good enough to keep going, which is a justified argument since it was actually cancelled.

Some of the best shows ever made where cancelled, those shows are still today very highly acclaimed.

People even talk about the original British "The Office", which only ran for two seasons before Gervais, allegedly, decided he didn't want to do it any more.

I've been thinking about this a lot. While I do have my problems with Sarah Silverman's act, I don't actually dislike her. I think its the fans putting her on a pedestal because he find her attractive and compensate for her lack of ability by claiming people aren't intelligent enough to get her humour. There is a massive difference between her and Stewart Lee.

Why would you wish for a major network to sink their hooks into a talent like hers?
