Sarah Silverman get more mileage out of her jokes than any comedian that i can think of. She works out her material on talk shows and interviews to a pretty great extent. mean, about 40% of this material I had heard enough times that I could have finished the jokes myself. The jokes that she hasn't been telling(or that maybe I just hadn't heard) for years were funny. She's always a treat to watch, but she could stand to work on more original material before doing a special like this.

I think the proper terminology is "she TRIES to get the most mileage out of her jokes", because she goes way overboard with this special. I loved her to death about 10yrs ago. Now not only is she working what is essentially the same material, but her method is to also exhaust every thought for about 10 minutes because she apparently thinks it can make it funny once again by just giving more and more details (ie the never ending segment of how she masterbates). Ok Sarah, you've already worn down the subject of masterbation over the past 10yrs. It doesn't get fresh or funnier if you spend an exhaustive amount of time showing your method with the microphone stand. And that's only one example from this special.

There was a time when I thought she deserved her own show. Now I can see that she's run out of ideas and is just banking on the shrewdness of her material to carry her act instead of actual originality or wit.
