Has nothing to do with the real Ranch.

Only exploited the name.

Many things happened on the Ranch, and a good book has been written about it.

This is not a plug: I read the book: it does not tell all. Things were never said.

Suffice to say: there were no kidnapping or deaths on the Ranch...

Cattle mutilation, giant "un-killable" dog, UFOs sightings, poltergeist, strange
lights, felt presence, worm holes, etc...

There was never any viable footage, as wires were spliced for no apparent cause, cameras went dark: the phenomena did not want to be filmed.

Read the book: it could have been much better, IMHO, but still: a group of physicists from NIDS were part of it.

The film?

Well, reality was a better script than this one.

Thanks for the recommendation regarding the book: I just ordered it!

Tell us how you liked it. I read the book from the library years ago. I thought it sucked and I do not believe any of the claims from the people at the ranch. I think it was a scam and I think the family lied and scammed that Bigelow guy into buying the ranch for a large amount of money.

If you read the book carefully, Bigelow bought the ranch _then_ had a group of scientists make observations for many months.

It is not like Bigelow bought it and the phenomena stopped right there.

Not at all.

Still, the frequency of the happenings has dwindled since - apparently.

But the book gives some idea of what was witnessed by the group of scientists.

Thus, your "scam" observation does not hold the water.

Furthermore, it is obvious, when reading the book, that the main author, Colm Kelleher, did not tell everything, that he kept a lot of stuff to himself.

Kelleher has a PhD in biochemistry and had done some work on cattle mutilation for Bigelow.

You can clearly see that he is hiding things, not for the bad reasons: he withheld things that made no sense, or that were so horrendous he just couldn't report them to the reader.

NIDS? It was Bigelow that bought the ranch. I thought it was his hired scientists who set up base there.
