Question to anyone who read the book...

Does that book do a better job of what went down in the alternate history line? The bombings? Why? When?

The mini-series followed the book pretty closely, so I don't know what it is that you are asking.

It's been while since I watched the show and listed to the audio-book, but like anything else the book went into a lot more detail as to the hows and whys the world was a mess when Jake was in Maine when it was a mess. I cannot recall any details.

Im confused also. JFK not being dead caused all that destruction? I mean I KNEW it would be that way from the beginning of the story, but it doesn't make sense why.

Yes the book does a much better job of laying out the history of events that happened in the alternate history.

Its like they say many times in the book and the show. The bigger the change you try to make, the more the future resist and the more other things will change too.
