I hate the Tom's Mom Maggie and Warrick story!

Warrick is a wanker. Miranda's Dad was a much better fit. So she breaks up with Warrick and then because he has a heart attack they get back together? Seriously??
I hate this story. Also those two have zero chemistry. Maggie needs to stop being this obligated old lady and embrace her feisty independent spirit.

Yes - Warwick and Maggie have zero chemistry!! They don't fit at all!

Warrick and Maggie don't appear to be written as romantic yet. They are life long friends and partners. She has lived off of his income for years at the vacation house so it's not unthinkable that she would care enough about him to want to take care of him before he dies considering he has taken care of her most of her life. He had two major heart attacks back to back. I don't read any of it as romantic but just loyalty to a life long partner and friend.

I think that's part of the problem with people these days. Just because the passion has cooled doesn't mean you should abandon your partner and move on. Passion tends to wane as time, responsibilities & stress build. It can still be recaptured but no doubt the life that they have lead was very stressful with the vineyard/winery needing outside funding, the deal with Sasha and watching their son go a bit crazy-emotionless in the wake of that, and then the distance created by Maggie & Tom wanting to live full time in the summer retreat. It's understandable to me how they could get distant and how it would be easy for Maggie and Cal to hook up for some fun when there's a whole lot less baggage there. Not that Cal won't run at the first signs of trouble... but for a short while it made sense. Long term... it was a mistake brought out of loneliness.

Warrick is no perfect guy, but I feel for him. He supported his family all these years and lost his wife to the allures of beach side city living and the Son he was expecting would take over the family business. A life time of work to build something that he is ultimately lost. Granted I think he should have sold the business off years ago and retired, but as is this is a tv show so it's not what they wanted to do with the character.
