No!!!!!!! Jack can't die!!!!!!!! I haven't cried so hard and felt so moved by a tv show in a long time. This is the only tv series I follow. I have watched it from the beginning and have rooted for Jack and Elizabeth. Now we finally get what we've been waiting for and you take it away before it gets started! I was looking forward to seeing them fight the bank for their property and building their home and raising their family. I also want to see Abigail marry the preacher. This show has captured my heart in a way that none other has since - Little House and the Waltons. I love these wholesome shows. They give me an escape to another world that brings me much joy. I really thought that Jack had given his coat to another soldier and was injured with memory loss or in a comma. Please, Please, Please, Please, bring Jack back. To Daniel Lissing - please do not leave the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree with everything you said. I too love sinking into a time gone by. And my eyes are almost constantly teary with joy and heartache while watching it.

I like your idea that maybe Jack isn't dead. I was so happy to see that it has been renewed.

I just discoverd it last year so watched the first 4 seasons on DVD. I was going to wait until this season came out on DVD but when I caught the first episode on TV, I recorded all of them and just finished watching. I could not wait until it came out on DVD :o)

I did see in interviews on YT, that Daniel wanted to leave the show to pursue other projects. The producers chose not to recast. That is to bad, I will miss Jack.
