Why are wigs now so effing fake looking and horrendous?

Not only is film at its worst point in 100+ years, but they can't even make wigs anymore? I dare you to find a golden age movie where hair looks as fake as this or all of Michelle Williams' horrific fake wigs and hairstyles in her movies.

this is so true. The wigs were a real distraction throughout the movie. I completely don't understand why she couldn't just use her real hair. She could've at least used her real hair when her character "dyes her hair".
