From Russia with Love rip-off. Shameless.

They've stolen the brilliant central premise, but probably thought 'hey it was 50 years ago no one's gonna remember'. What a joke.

Uhm... care to explain how is it a copycat of FRwL? I have not the highest expectations for this movie, and I am a big fan of both the original novel and movie of FRwL, but thes stories seem different to me.

In FRwL Romanova had also a device (the "lektor") as bait, and James Bond was the target himself to be killed and there was a scandal to be made. She didn't even does to really "seduce" Bond, as the lektor was the real bait. Also, there were a plethora of interesting characters in both Fleming's novel and the movie and also subplots, like the Romanian hitman vs. Ali-Kerim Bey, the Russian killer, Nash (played by Robert Grant) was also a strong character and we have no info yet, if there will be a similar character in Red Sparrow.

Here Lawrence has to properly seduce the CIA spy, there no such thing as a real bait and the story seems much simpler. She has to gather information about a mole in Russia. A bit different TBH. Oh, female spy seducing a male spy? It's the same story since Mata-Hari LOLMAO.

Just because there are spies and romance here, it doesn't mean that it will the same as FRwL.
