The book was incredible!

Definitely look forward to this film. Book was amazing. Sequel novel was amazing as well.

I just started the sequel "Palace Of Treason", but yeah Red Sparrow was pretty good! This will definitely make for a good movie.

Book was incredible, I hope they're able, (in the film), to adequately 'display' her special talent with colors....(forgot what the term is), that give way to people's True feelings and intentions. Also hope they keep her 'deceased friends', (who show up as advisors), in the picture. So many, many layers to the book; would be criminal if these "details" we're left from the plot. Oh, and the Russian accent, when she pronounces 'Nate' as 'Nyet'......loved the book - need an Awesome movie to do it justice!

The term for her very unusual gift is synesthesia. I'm hoping they have some great technology to achieve what was so well illustrated in the book.

Totally agree. Both books amazing plotlines and characters. Third and last in the series published next month. But Jennifer Lawrence as a Russian ballerina turned Kremlin spy? That's an Alicia Vikander role.

Loved the book too, yet am I alone in feeling Jennifer Lawrence is not the best choice here?

Can't wait to see Sergei Polunin.

I love the books too. Just finished reading Palace of Treason and I can't wait for The Kremlin's Candidate. I love every ending of the books, it keeps me excited for the next.😀

I also really liked the book, but I am worried about this film. Firstly it is a very dense book to compact into 2 hours and 2nd the cast seems off. Lawrence is a really talented actress but I don't know how she will do with the accent, and Joel Edgerton is too old to play Nate Nash. But I hold out hope now nonetheless.

She is indeed talented and they will likely have the finest dialect teacher on set 24/7 so the accent is of less concern to me than her look.

I saw in the one photo posted on the home page that they've made her hair darker which is good. And I know I'll get spanked for saying this, but she does not have a ballerina body. Not even for one who has been hobbled. She is fleshy with broad hips.

I would have preferred a sleeker, more exotic Dominika.

how old is Nate Nash in the book?

reply

Mid to late 20s as I remember it.

reply

thanks....wonder why they couldn't get a younger actor to play him......hmm, guess the director knows best
