Some of the best stop-motion animation ever.
Aardman has always delivered animation-wise, they are pretty much the best stop motion animators around. Not really with how the puppets look, but their movement. It's so fluent, I sometimes wonder if it's CG, but it CAN'T be, because you can't create the textures these puppets have with a computer, it looks organic.
This film is probably the best showcase of what they can achieve with puppets, it's mind blowing. The film itself is a fun little thing, I expected it to be much "kiddier", it's VERY well written, I was genuinely entertained, both by the humor and the story, but mostly by how amazing the animation looked and how detailed the sets were. This is legit a great movie.
