How many adults without kids in your theatre?

It was just my brother and I walking into this, and the rest was moms with their kids. Kinda thought there would be more love from the local Wallace & Gromit fans or the animation community. Felt a little weird being the only two older guys in a theatre full of kids and parents, but I still enjoyed the hell out of the movie and I could tell the parents were too because some moments they were laughing more than the kids. Especially the Silence of the Lambs Siamese cat tongue flicker. Great movie, might see it again if I get the chance.

Saw it at a small theater in L.A. at 10pm and there were about ten people there, only adults. :)

Yeah..films like this (made ostensibly for a young audience but with enough gags for adults to appreciate) are far, far better viewed at late screenings where there is very little chance of kids being in the audience.

reply

Yeah, but that also means paying the highest price. I'd rather make parents uncomfortable at the 10am showing. 

If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.

When I went the theater was about half full and about half the people where there without kids.

I laughed my ass off at this one.

One kid cried when Shaun goes to jail and the mother took him out and never came back. LOL

Mother - Honey it's just fiction.
Child - But mom it reminds me of Daddy.

Three (including myself).

Kids get all the nicest things. We should start taking back what's ours.

Just got back from a free screening with my younger brother who is only 18 and loves Aardman's works and my mom who doesn't really like to watch kids movies but we dragged her. My theater was also showing The Peanuts Movie. On the concession counter the lady was keeping tally on how many people went to each film on a sheet of paper I took a glance at. Shaun The Sheep was in screening room 3, the smallest in the building and had only a small amount of viewers whilst screening room 4 was showing The Peanuts Movie and is the third largest and was packed.

There were kids with their parents in this one but the kids seem to be more fidgety, bored and restless. Some were running around before the movie was even over. I don't think I heard THAT much laughter aside from us. Also, now my mom loves this movie. She's not much of a movie person and wondered " how can a movie not have dialogue?"

Also, The Silence Of The Lambs joke had me in stitches as I had just seen that movie for the first time ever.
