Literally good for any age.

Last Monday I took my two boys (7&10).

The next day I took my Mum (82) and sister (54).

Everyone enjoyed it especially me (42) as I got to see it twice!

Aardman can do no wrong in my eyes, always funny and original, with laugh out loud moments all the way through.

Going to agree with you on this!!

reply

Agreed. My 2 year old sat happily through 90% of this movie! He doesn't do that often. I thought the story could've been a bit better however, we still loved it!

reply

It's not for me, but the effort the creators put into it was pretty clear.

If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.

I agree the effort (and talent) are remarkable.
I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this film and laughed throughout (and cried a bit too.)
And I am at the ripe old age of...over 30. ; )

I almost think it might be difficult for some younger children.
The scenes where the sheep just wanted to go home Timmy crying and the Farmer sent Shaun & Bitzer away and...THAT ANIMAL containment officer near the end...I was crying.

Again, it's a matter of knowing your child.
Years ago a friend & I took my annoying younger cousin to Hellraiser (1)to teach him a lesson. The 9 yr old loved it. She & I (16) tried to hide under the seats.

Lesson learned.

It was a more interesting film for the children (ages 6 and 8) than for me. At one point in the middle of the film, I got a bit bored. The children really enjoyed it. It depends on the child and how familiar they are with the character(s).

I agree it us more of a kids' movie than say...inside out. It's good for what it is though and I can see why even adults would enjoy it. I never had a "why did a buy a ticket for this?" feeling. Simply a "Not my style". And I did get some laughs out if some of the references, which I don't think we're forced.

If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life.
