Why is she the only one who got the powers? If the drug dealers deem it valuable, wouldn't the drug have already been in use and transformed someone else? Wouldn't they know what it does? (They thought she was a witch instead of knowing the effects of the drug. They seemed to think at the beginning that it may explode.) They had the guy at the beginning with the rotten teeth ingest it and he just laughed, which is totally different than her convulsive reaction when it first got in her system. Why was she different?

Why?Well obviously no one can answer you that question even you know this.

But lets look the way she recived the drug.It was in her stomach and the bag with the powder opened up and spilled all over the place.While the other guy sniffed it through a straw.

So from that you can see it's not expect to react differently.

To answer the first part of your comment.They didn't really knew that drug helped her become what she is now and they saw what happened to the first guy who took it so why would the mafia boss use it?
